For its second ‘ephemeral boutique’ collaboration in Paris, Soieries du Mékong worked with origami artist Junior Fritz Jacquet.
A host of shared values - passion, commitment, authentic handcrafting - led us to pool our respective know-how and to present a window display where paper is worked like fabric and highlights the scarves created by Soieries du Mékong.
Junior Fritz Jacquet has been fascinated by paper since childhood. He explores and experiments with folding and creasing techniques and, beneath his fingers, imagines uncharted paths for the creation of poetic shapes and objects. Junior Fritz Jacquet has now developed his own unique technique: most of his paper sculptures are made from a single uncut piece of paper.
